Course Description
This course will teach you how to write Android applications using Java and the Android SDK. The goal is to get you through the learning curve of Android development: to give you the confidence and knowledge you need to jump into the mobile industry.

- Wed: 1&2. Introduce and install SDK, do “Hello World”, application structure, event handling. Discuss in G-Android forum.

- Mon: 4. Activity, Intent messaging. Discuss in G-Android forum.
- Wed: 5. BroadcastReceivers. Discuss in G-Android forum.
- Fri: 6&7. Service, media. Discuss in G-Android forum.
January 18 – 22
- Mon: 8. Asynchronous processing, alarms, notifications. Discuss in G-Android forum.
- App Widgets
- Do the “weather forecast” application

Logistics
How?
This course is organized as a series of lectures and live coding sessions. Students are encouraged but not required to follow along on their laptops during class and on their computers at home. Classes will be in Vietnamese.
